Boy, oh boy!

So we had the level II ultrasound yesterday AND got the amnio results (they may have been lost somewhere in the system, but our doctor's assistant was able to dig them up).

The results:

Two healthy babies: all chromosomes accounted for, no extra ones. And, both babies are BOYS :)

Hubby and I had secretly been hoping for one girl and one boy, but really, we are just grateful and overjoyed that I'm actually pregnant and that this pregnancy seems to be going well.

Both babies are kicking in a way that I can feel them and I am so excited by that! However, the other day I had a graduate student ask me if I could feel them kicking and what it felt like. When I replied, she responded that having something move in you was "gross."

After wanting to slap her upside of her head, I replied that if you knew you had a child in you, you wouldn't think it was gross. This has been something I had been hoping to feel for years, and I was reminded about how so many people take their fertility for granted.

So, no more Dr's appts for me for the next 4 weeks! I'll just keep praying that things keep moving in a positive direction :)

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear about the test results - that's great news - one less thing to worry about. Wow - two boys - how exciting. Enjoy the kicking and the rest of your pregnancy! It sounds like everything is proceeding according to plan.

Can I WooHoo enough? That is soooooo amazing!

The boys are just as excited and so they are letting you know! :)

How crass and unthoughtful of that other lady to ask you that and then respond the way she did! Ugh!

But I am uber-glad for you!

HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Gross indeed. There actually are so many gross things this poor inexperienced girl-child has NO IDEA!

But your sweet babies are not gross (at least not yet, give em time!) Two boys - yay!!! I was so shocked when I heard I was having a boy; I had totally expected a girl. What was I going to do with a boy??? But now I am so glad, boys are great and two will be a fun ride (with some gross stuff I'm sure!) Yay for twin boys!!!

Brenda

just catching up - WOW! two boys!! That is awesome. And even more so, of course, that they are both healthy. great news : ) Will and i have secretly hoped that at some point we have a girl. Between our 5 brothers and sisters we have 11 nephews and 0 neices, so it would be lovely to have a girl to break the streak. Of course at this point we will just be thrilled to have any sort of baby at all! No taking for granted here!

Anyway, really glad to hear your news!!

Hey Brenda, what's up?

I hope everything is alright and that you are only awfully busy...haven't read any updates from your end for about a fortnight now.

Take Care...
