7dp3dt

Let the cryptic titles begin in earnest!

Besides the fact that my cycle twin, Peeveme, just got her 1st positive after POAS 5dp5dt (go over there and give her a hug, if you haven't already!!), there is no real news here.

You know, I find it kind of bittersweet all the acronyms I know now: E2, PIO, 2WW (not really an acronym, I know), BFP, BFN.....

When I first started this journey, I was constantly having to Go*ogle all the phrases so that I could keep up with the conversation: Who was this DH and DD? What's the difference b/w POAS and PCOS? And what in the world is a beta? (I still don't understand the beta part....is this short for something? Why don't they just call it an HCG level test? Can anyone enlighten me?)

The bitter part of this bittersweet knowledge is that I have been here long enough to learn most of these acronyms (and am constantly learning more!), and more than a few apply to me. The sweet part is that I have joined a community that has welcomed me with open arms. :) Although, I still have until Dec. 1st before the dreaded beta, you are making this wait so much better. Thank you :)

Fingers crossed! I'm a couple of days behind you, due for a beta on December 4th. Such a nervewracking, maddening week and a half of stress!

Oooohhh...good luck with the upcoming test!
Thanks for stopping by my blog...and to answer your question
I got my MS in Nursing (I'm an NP/CNS).
You?

Good luck!!! The reason it's called a beta is because the test checks for hCG beta (as opposed to hCG alpha). :-) Here from ICLW.

Good luck!
I know what you mean by all the acronyms. I'm amazed I know what so many of them mean. :)

I always look forward to seeing what you have to say! Sorry not a lot is going on this minute but hopefully you have some great plans for Thanksgiving to distract you (a teeny bit). I realized I should probably go buy a turkey one of these days...we were going to go to my parents but no time off (300m away) so we're staying home. Which is nice in a way. So exciting to think your beta is next week!

Best of luck with your upcoming betas. It does suck to know all the acronyms (almost as badly as it sucks to be able to recognize a bad early u/s pic).

So? Are you going to POAS?? I was planning to ask the internets opinions, but I was thinking of doing it 7dp3dt (which will be next Sunday for me).

Crossing my fingers for you!

Awww thanks for the shout out.

Don't let me pressure into POAS (Peeing on a stick). You do whatever feels right to you. I'm just a peer. Always have been; always will be.

I'd day I was hoping for you but I think, for you, this is a lock. I'm not usually so positive but I think this is really going to happen for you. I'm beyond hopeful. I'm just sure.

I love all the acronyms too. I've caught myself using them more than a few times with my RE who just looked at me quizzically. I wish you lots of luck at your upcoming HCG test. : )
